A Aviação TV registou a chegada deste voo histórico, intitulado Circle the Atlantic: Flight To End Polio, que consiste numa missão de 37 dias e inclui 15 aterragens em 11 países. O Circle the Atlantic, protagonizado pelos pilotos Peter Teahen e Ed Galkin, está a ser realizado num avião monomotor Cessna 210 (matrícula N2160S), numa distância total de 8.800 milhas, atravessando o Oceano Atlântico duas vezes. A etapa mais longa e desafiante do voo terá a duração de 9,5 horas e corresponderá à ligação entre Ponta Delgada e St. John’s, na Terra Nova. O voo partiu a 30 de agosto de 2025, de New Jersey (EUA), e todas as despesas são suportadas pelos pilotos. Após a conclusão deste voo, o Guinness World Records reconhecerá oficialmente o piloto Ed Galkin, de 89 anos, como a «pessoa mais velha a pilotar um avião monomotor a pistão através do Atlântico, tanto na direção leste como na oeste». Aviação TV recorded the arrival of this historic flight, titled Circle the Atlantic: Flight To End Polio, which consists of a 37-day mission and includes 15 landings in 11 countries. The Circle the Atlantic, flown by pilots Peter Teahen and Ed Galkin, is being flown in a single-engine Cessna 210 aircraft (license plate N2160S), covering a total distance of 8,800 miles, crossing the Atlantic Ocean twice. The longest and most challenging leg of the flight will last 9.5 hours and will be between Ponta Delgada and St. John's, Newfoundland. The flight departed on August 30, 2025, from New Jersey, USA, and all expenses are covered by the pilots. Upon completion of this flight, Guinness World Records will officially recognize 89-year-old pilot Ed Galkin as the "oldest person to fly a single-engine piston aircraft across the Atlantic, both eastbound and westbound."
